A warm welcome to
Eberhard Wenzel's WebSite at:
www.ldb.org

Over the past years (since 1997), this site has developed into a monster, containing more than 800 separate pages covering a wide range of topics.

You won't find any frames on my site - simply because I don't like them. There are a few JavaScripts of the simple kind on various pages of the site, which you can read if you activate JavaScript (not Java) in your browser's preferences section.

This site is old-fashioned in design, but brandnew in content. And I do hope its pages load fast enough for the slow modem connection you may have.

Below you'll find the starting points for your surf on my site.

Enjoy - and surf safely !

THE SOLUTION
Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956)

After the uprising of the 17th June
The Secretary of the Writers' Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee
Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government
And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?

WWW-Virtual Library: Public Health provides comprehensive coverage of relevant public health resources on the Net. Organized according to 85 selected topics and all countries existing on Mother Earth. Well, I hope I've got them all ... I may have missed some, who knows? WWW Virtual Library: Circumpolar Peoples offers access to resources concerning: arts, culture, education, environment, health, media, social development, tribes, and women.
Indigenous People: Australia leads to a collection of resources regarding Indigenous People in Australia, who still have to live in their country without a treaty with White Man's Government, which would give them self-determination like their Indian brothers and sisters in the USA have enjoyed since 1975. Salish Kootenai and Pend d'Oreille and Mi'kmaq offer access to resources on these two First Nations of North America for purely personal reasons. The Salish Kootenai live on the Flathead Reservation in Montana (USA), while the Mi'kmaq live on the East Coast of North America and Canada. I have a special relation to them, and both sites assemble probably the best resources available on the Net.
I am pleased to note, that the WWW Virtual Library: American Indians has finally been transferred to Karen M. Strom's exquisite web-site on Native American Resources.
IUHPE stands for International Union for Health Promotion and Education.
I provide the space for the web-site of the South West Pacific Regional Office of this international non-governmental organization.
Read Professor Ronald Labonte's brief on World Trade and Population Health
Medicine Keepers is the initiation point for international cooperation between Indigenous People of Montana (USA) and Queensland (Australia) with respect to health care, public health, health promotion, and education. It's a project Lori Colomeda and myself are currently trying to get going. Any support is highly appreciated.
Public Health Bookshop - is just that. I offer a collection of key books - oh no, not just the ones you can get anywhere else. And there's a special section on Indigenous health. Papers offers online access to the "written work" of mine. Some of the stuff has been published. You can read what I have been thinking about in the past years - either alone or together with colleagues. This was a "work in progress" web-page. Now it also contains the last paper of mine on "The state of public health. Remarks from a dying man."
Mohan Singh Temple in Cyberspace Mohan Singh? Please visit this section of my site. This is the Master of Health Education and Promotion. His site contains a lot of food for thoughts, particularly for those who believe they know ... you'll be surprised what Mohan has to say. Spread the news. Links connects to a variety of topics I am interested in. There are diverse topics and some are probably "far out", but that's the way I sometimes seem to be ;-))
Philippines Mabuhay! Philippines is a pretty comprehensive collection of web-resources on this beautiful country. I had the privilege to live there for some years. Quotations offers a collection of quotes from books that I've read. Some refer to specific authors, others are organized along certain topics.
Rock-Archives - hmmm, I love music, and here you'll find lots of stuff you won't find anywhere else. Promised. The Big C Report provides access to notes I have taken while being treated for cancer of the esophagus. I offer an interactive option to get in touch with me, the Healing Circle, which friends use to share their emotions and feelings.
